1.Terms of the Contract

These Terms & Conditions apply to all goods supplied by Wendy Morrison; they do not affect your statutory rights.

Any order placed by you for goods advertised on our website is considered an offer by you to purchase the goods in your order. No contract exists between you and us until we have received and accepted your order. Each time you place an order, you will receive an automated email confirming this. The notification of receipt is not a confirmation that the order has been accepted.

The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see condition 6 below).

We reserve the right to terminate the contract of sale if the payment for ordered goods is not received in full.

2.Description and Price of Goods

All of our products are hand made and subject to slight variations in design and/or colour to the images shown on or website and/or social media channels. We have taken every care to describe and show all items as accurately as possible. We offer a sample service which is a great way to confirm design/colours prior to placing your purchase. The cost of a 50cm x 50cm sample is £60 (hand-tufted) – £150 (hand-knotted) which is fully refundable when you return the sample to us. If there is anything you wish to clarify prior to placing your order please contact us using the details on our Contact Us page.

Prices are supplied on the website in GBP, USD & EUR. If applicable, VAT is included in the price at the standard rate as laid out by the British Government http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/.

If the goods are to be shipped to an address outside the EU, you will be liable to pay the appropriate duty on the goods as decided by the destination country. Wendy Morrison is not liable for these duties.

3.Payment Processing

Online payment may be made by Direct Transfer (BACS), Debit/Credit card, Paypal or by using our financing option via Klarna. Options are clearly displayed at checkout. For the security of your card details, we do not take card payments over the phone. In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna

If your payment fails, your order will be cancelled within 14 days, unless you contact us to specify otherwise.

No goods will be dispatched until payment has been made in full and funds have cleared.

Shipping and Handling charges are applied per item and included in the order total shown at checkout.

A valid Trade Account Code, supplied only by Wendy Morrison when a Trade Account is opened, may be applied once during the order process. The Trade Account Code is validated against the Trade Account Billing email address for authenticity. The Trade Account Code field is clearly marked on the cart and checkout pages and the order totals are updated when clicking on the APPLY CODE button.

For reasons of security, order quantities per product are limited to 1. If you wish to order multiple quantities of a particular item, please call us to process.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

4.Items out of stock

If you place an order for an item not currently in stock, we will inform you via the billing email provided at checkout. Items out of stock can still be fulfilled but the lead time may be considerably longer than for those in stock. We will inform you of the estimated lead time when we contact you.

It is the responsibility of the customer to respond to our out of stock email notification and in turn to notify their customer if required.


We will provide a dispatch date for items held in stock shortly after confirmation of your order. The dispatch date will be no more than 14 days following confirmation of your order. Unfortunately, we are unable to retain sold rugs at our warehouse beyond this timeframe.

For smaller items within the UK, we use Parcelforce. These services are economically priced and do not offer a flexible or guaranteed delivery day/time. Please ensure you provide a delivery address where someone will be available to receive the delivery between 7.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. If the couriers are unable to complete a delivery due to nobody being present, a calling card will be left asking you to contact them directly to arrange a re-delivery. If you do not contact the couriers within 2 days of receiving this card, the goods will be returned to our warehouse and a re-delivery charge may be applicable to your order.
For larger items within the UK, we use DHD. DHD provide a 2-man, white glove service. The service is extremely flexible and aims to work to your needs. The trade-off is lead time. Depending on where you are based, it can take DHD up to 14 days to deliver but they will make contact with you soon after we pass on your details.

We will not be held liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this event, we will inform you of any delays as soon as possible.

Delivery will be made to the Delivery Address specified at checkout when you complete your order or separately agreed by email. Should you wish to change the delivery address after goods have been dispatched from our warehouse, we will require you to cover the redirection charges. Please be aware that the redirection approval is subject to your order and account status.

Wendy Morrison retains ownership of all items until they have been paid for in full and delivered to the destination address. Once your goods have been delivered, the risk of damage or loss of the item passes to the recipient.

6.Returns Policy

We aim to make returns as simple as possible for you so we use our DHD premium 2-man white glove service for all UK collections. There is a charge of £48 for this service. You may organise your own return but please be aware that goods must be returned to us in the original packaging or replacement packaging deemed suitable to protect the goods whilst in transit and they must arrive with us in the same condition as they were when sold.

You may request to cancel your contract with Wendy Morrison at any time up to 14 days after receipt of goods. To cancel your contract you must advise us in writing using the details on our Contact Us page. Please quote your original order or invoice number on all returns and correspondence.

Please be aware that we can only organise returns for purchases made in the UK. If you have purchased from outside the UK, you will be responsible for organising return of the goods. The goods must be returned to us in the original packaging or replacement packaging deemed suitable to protect the goods whilst in transit and they must arrive with us in the same condition as they were when sold. As soon as we inspect the goods and find them to be in good order, we will process your replacement or refund as instructed by you.

9.Item(s) Damaged on Arrival

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged product, you should notify us in writing (using the details on our Contact Us page) within 48 hours of receipt of the goods. Please provide photographic evidence of the damage. We will arrange a courier collection of the damaged item. Once we receive the item at our warehouse, we will examine the goods for damage as per the photographic evidence. If the damage is verified, we will replace the item within 7 working days at no additional cost to you.

11.Non-Delivery of Item(s)

Please allow 10 working days from dispatch for the delivery of ordered items. If the items are still not delivered after this time, please let us know (using the details on our Contact Us page). Please provide us with the original order number as reference. We will then investigate the non-delivery with the relevant delivery service provider used for the order and offer you a replacement order to be sent out or a full refund for the undelivered goods.

8.Refund Policy

If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund you via the method of payment you used when you originally paid for your order. The refund amount will be the total amount you have paid for the particular order or a fraction of this, depending on the nature of the fault at hand. Please note: it is your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your payment method.

12.Limitation of Liability

Wendy Morrison will not be liable to you for any loss or damage in circumstances where:

  1. There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by Wendy Morrison or by its employees or agents;
    2. Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach;
    3. Any increase in loss or damage resulting from breach by you of any item of this contract.

13.Data Protection

Wendy Morrison will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure. However, unless Wendy Morrison are negligent, we will not be liable for un-authorised access to information supplied by you. Wendy Morrison will not supply your details to any third party.

14.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to Scottish law and the Scottish courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.

15.Protecting Your Security

All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

16.Placing an Order

By placing an order with Wendy Morrison, you are confirming you have read and agree to the terms, conditions and delivery times as laid out in writing on this site.  The contract of the sale is bound by the terms laid out in this document.
The contract laid out in this document is between Wendy Morrison and yourself, the customer.  In the event of goods shipped to an addressee other than yourself (the customer), we have no contract between ourselves and the end receiver of the goods shipped (your customer). In this case we cannot mediate any aspect of the sale between yourself (the customer) and the end receiver of the goods shipped (your customer).

17.Misuse of Goods

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up-to-date. The material here is intended to provide general information and users are advised to seek further legal guidance before acting or relying on the contents. We disclaim all liability for loss and/or damage that may result from the use of information contained on this site.
Wendy Morrison will not be held responsible for any death or personal injuries that occur from the misuse of goods advertised on this website.
